In Loving Memory

Today is the one year anniversary that took my Grandpa from us. This poem helps on such a hard day! I love you and miss you Grandpa! You are gone from sight but live forever in my heart!

God saw you getting tired
and a cure was not to be
so he put his arms around you
and whispered, "Come to Me"

With tearful eyes we watched you
and saw you pass away
and although we love you dearly
we could not make you stay.
A Golden heart stopped beating
hard working hands at rest.

God broke our hearts to prove us he only takes the best!

Happy New Year!

It is hard to believe that 2009 is here when I am not quite sure where 2008 went. As the kids continue to grow up, (Without my permission) the days seem to be filled with more activities. All in all I have to say 2008 was a pretty good year. I am hoping that 2009 is even better. I have learned that I can't change things that don't want to be changed and to have a little more patience, and to let go of the little stuff that doesn't really matter go.
As a dear friend and I had discussed earlier we were not going to make New Years Resolutions. (Thanks Monique) WHY? There stupid! :) We start the new year all willing to change the things that we had tried all year to do.. and in the end we get defeated by those evil little resolutions.
Hmmm after rereading the above words I did make a resolution! I promised NOT to make a resolution. I have myself confused now. Go Figure!
Anyway - my wish for you is to have a Wonderful New Year and don't take for granted the little things in life that you love. Remember life is short and we don't know how long the "man above" has put us on this earth.
Peace! And Lots of Love!
Happy New Year!
