Another Seizure

Oh I am exhausted today. I stayed up late talking with a good friend on the puter last night and when I looked at the clock it said it was after midnight. I tried to quickly get to bed, but ended up watching TV in bed for sometime before falling asleep. (Last time I looked at the clock it was almost 2) When I did crash I was down and out until I heard what sounded like someone scratching at the carpet. I rolled over and flipped on the switch trying to focus my eyes. Once focused I saw our almost 6 yr old dog, Molly having a seizure on floor. She was looking at me with those scared, twitching eyes. I immediately jumped out of bed and began petting her and talking to her. She seems to come out of them faster if I lay right next to her and comfort her. The whole ordeal was less then 5 minutes, but once she comes out of them she starts pacing and of course I feel the need to follow her around until I am sure that she is not going to have another one. So after just 2 hours of sleep I was up. I did lay down again and doze, but no restful sleep. There is no getting to bed early tonight either because the kids have a ball game at 9:30 PM. Ughh I will definetely sleep in tomorrow.

Wow, 5 minutes is good. Lucky's seem to be lasting longer and longer, she'll be 6 this Fall.

Poor girls. Is she feeling good today? Lucky bounces back once they let go of her, but yes, she also does much better if I'm w/ her.

She is much better today.. back to her old bouncy joyful self. It still is scary, as I think of her as "one of my kids" and love her just as much. I know this won't be the last so we'll just prepare for the next.
