Jeez, I was thinking today would be a good day for catch up on household stuff and just kind of unwind from the busy weekend. The day started out not so good. My husband called to tell me that my sister's dogs (she was out of town of course) who were being taken care of by my brother, were in the yard playing. They are both puppies so they were grabbing onto each other's collars. Well one somehow got their mouth under the others collar and could not get out. When my brother finally realized something was wrong he went to help of course .. the dog (Trooper) whose mouth was caught on Macy, was flailing all over the place trying to get loose. My brother could not get them apart. The neighbor came running over because he heard all the commotion and tried to help. By the time the neighbor had come it was too late, Macy had been suffocated by her best bud. How horrible and of course at 9 am this morning I was sitting here bawling. My sister's birthday was Friday so her fiancee took her out of town for the weekend. She didn't find out until they had gotten back today. There was no need to ruin their little get away, when all that would have happened was they would have rushed back home, in turn, endangering their lives by driving too fast, and of course there was nothing they could have done. Anyone who knows me knows that I am an animal lover and my dogs are just like my kids.
Of course after hearing this I went and gave my doggies an extra hug and kiss.
And with this I also feel I have to say something to friends and family who read this.. I love you guys and don't ever think there is a day that passes that you aren't in my thoughts .. you all carry a special place in my heart!

I am so sad. Poor baby.
No worries friend. We did talk about it later in the evening... or was it early this morning?
I believe it was still night at that point. =)
